Tonk the gnome

Let's just get this party 🎉🎈 started‼️

I'm seriously thinking of different things to make for Christmas 🎄☃️

I don't have any clue about gnomes what they represent or anything. I just thought why not just make one it seems simple. I used my scrap yarn stash. 

I used red heart super saver economy solids in spring green and hot red and soft white 

Red heart super saver economy solids are my go to . 

I send approximately 120-130 yards of each color

I love making this gnome I used my hair

brush. That's right you heard right my hair brush.

Slst and sew shut

I chose to add the beard first . I don't think it really matters when but for me it was better! 

I took 10 inch pieces of white folded them in half and used my hook to pull the yarn through and secured it.

I took the strands and separated them 

 

Next we will make the nose

Slst leaving tail to sew in

Rd 3-6- SC in each st (6sc)

Rd 7- SC,2sc repeat (9sc)

Rd 8-9- SC in each st (9sc)

Rd 10- SC,SC,2sc repeat (12sc)

Rd 11-13- SC in each st (12sc)

Rd 14- SC,SC,SC,2sc repeat (20sc)

Rd 15-16- SC in each st (20sc)

Rd 17- SC , SC, SC, SC,2sc (24sc)

Rd 18-20- SC in each st (24sc)

Slst and weave in

Attach red and SC in same st ch3sc in same st skip next st , SC,ch3,SC in same st *skst, SC ch3 SC , * repeat to the end of the Rd 

Leaving tail long enough to sew in

Rd 2 - 2sc in each st (6sc)

Flatten and SC in 1st st and ch3 going back down the chs start in 2nd ch slst and in next st 

Slst in next st ch4 and going back down the ch slst in 2nd st and in next 2sts 

Repeat 2 more times slst and sew in 

Attach white 

Going along palm of hand 

SC around should be approximately 5 or 6 SC total 

Continuous rounds SC in each st for 3 rounds slst leaving tail to sew in the side of the gnome.
