CreationsbyMalindaCo: Crochet converse slippers

Here is a pattern for a 1 to 3 year old . A converse slipper . I know there are many out there in Google land but I struggled with having the sole fit better on the foot . So I hope this pattern works . I don't own the rights on the shoe just the making of the sole and the slipper

Materials needed:
Basic mainstay yarn white
Basic mainstay yarn purple
Basic mainstay yarn black
Hook size I and H
Yarn needle
Scissors

Abbreviations
sc * single crochet hdc * half double crochet
slst * slip stitch ch * chain
rd * round fpsc * front post single crochet
sk * skip

We will begin by doing the sole of the slipper
measurements
6 1/4 in long by 3 in wide

With white and hook size H

ch10
rd 1 - sc in 1st 4 chs then hdc , hdc , hdc , hdc , last ch 7hdc
working on opposite side
hdc , hdc , hdc , hdc , sc , sc , sc , sc slst in 1st ch

rd 2 - ch1 2sc in 1st 2 chs then sc , sc , sc , sc , hdc , hdc , hdc , hdc , hdc , 2hdc in next 4 chs , hdc , hdc , hdc , hdc , hdc , sc , sc , sc , sc then 2sc in last ch slst in1st ch

rd 3 - ch1 2sc in 1st 3 chs then sc , sc ,sc ,sc , 2hdc , hdc , 2hdc , hdc , 2hdc , hdc , 2hdc , hdc , 2hdc , hdc , hdc , hdc , hdc, hdc , sc, sc, sc , sc , then 2sc in last slst

rd 4 - ch2 hdc in the next 18 chs then 2hdc , hdc , hdc , 2hdc , hdc , hdc , 2hdc , hdc ,hdc , 2hdc , hdc in the next 11chs then 2hdc in the last ch slst in1st ch

next I added a little more stitches not much but enough to add 1/4 in
ch1 sc in the next 8 chs slst weave in

Sides of sole
With white and hook size I

In the heel part slst and sc in same chain
rd 1 - fpsc in each st( 40sc)

rd 2 - sc in both post and sc in remaining chs (40sc)
slst and weave in

With purple hook size I
Take sole fold in half slst in as shown in picture slst and sc in same ch then fpsc in the next 35 chs leave remaining ch unworked

rd 2 - ch1 turn sc in each ch crocheting in both chs (36sc)

rd 3 - ch3 in 2nd ch from hook sc then sc in next 21 chs ch3 sk 2 then sc in last ch

rd 4 - turn slst , slst in the ch3 then sc in 3rd ch then sc in the next 20 chs

rd 5 - turn ch3 in 2nd ch from hook sc and sc in the next 16 chs ch3 sk 2 then sc in last ch

rd 6 - turn slst , slst in the ch3 then sc in 3rd ch then sc in the next 15 chs

rd 7 - trun ch3 in 2nd ch from hook sc and sc in the next 10 chs ch3 sk 2 then sc in last ch

rd 8 - turn slst , slst in the ch3 then sc in 3rd ch then sc in the next 9 chs slst in next then weave in

with white hook size I

ch2
rd 1 - 4sc in 2nd ch do not slst turn

rd 2 ch1 2sc in each ch turn

rd 3 - ch1 repeat pattern sc , 2sc turn

rd 4 - ch1 repeat pattern sc , sc , 2sc

rd 5 - ch1 sc in each ch (18sc)

rd 6 - ch1 going along top sc in each ch should have (12sc) slst weave in

now take purple Hook size I

slst in last ch on white then ch1 sc in each ch (12sc)

rd 2 - 15 ch1 turn sc in each ch (15sc) slst weave in should measure 3 1/2 in you can make it longer its up to youby adding more rows

With a long piece of white yarn hand sew in the tongue
slst weave in as seen in picture ----->you attach one side where my thumb is
